I went to visit Minerva when she was in Portsmouth on 1st August 2012, as I wanted to see how she looked following her recent refit, and I wasn’t disappointed.
The promenade deck is now one deck higher, and larger than it was before, meaning that 8 laps equates to a mile. What was the promenade deck has been used to enable the addition of more balcony cabins, meaning that there are now 44 across 4 grades. The ensuite bathrooms have been replaced in all cabins as well.
Another major addition is the new Orpheus Lounge which is forward on the new promenade deck, with panoramic views, and can seat 145 passengers. So if you are looking for small ship discovery cruising, with a good level of comfort and offering great inclusive value, then Minerva is definitely worthy of consideration.
Included in the price you pay you will receive a tailor made excursion programme, world class Guest Speakers, a range of onboard activities, all gratuites for the ship’s crew, as well as drivers and guides when you are on excursions, flights and transfers for cruises not embarking in the UK.
