Fred Olsen Cruise Lines have announced a new streamlined dress code, which will be effective from 1st July 2013, and from that date there will no longer be an Informal dress code.
The Black Tie Formal Nights will continue, but the remainder of the evenings will have a Smart Casual dress code. For men this could mean a jacket and tie, or perhaps an open-necked shirt with Chinos or smart dark coloured jeans. For ladies it could be casual separates or an elegant dress.
There will still be themed nights on some cruises, which could include Rock and Roll, Tropical, Nautical, or Red, White and Blue. These are often combined with dedicated shows and other onboard activities, and passengers can join in the atmosphere by wearing fancy dress, or going with the new Smart Casual dress code, whichever they prefer.
