The popular MS Serenade 1 will again be available to the UK market for river cruises in 2014, as Seafarer Cruising and Sailing Holidays will be offering a number of departures on the Rhine.
The MS Serenade 1 carries a maximum of 130 passengers in 65 cabins, each of which is 16 square metres in size. All cabins benefit from having a separate bath and shower cubicle, a flat screen television, fridge and tea & coffee making facilities. The ship has a good sized lounge and bar, with a separate area for reading and playing games. There is a large sundeck, as well as a small gym onboard. The superior cabins are graded by deck as follows: –
- Beethoven deck – these cabins have picture windows
- Mozart deck – these cabins have floor to ceiling sliding doors, and a Juliet balcony
- Chopin deck – these cabins have floor to ceiling sliding doors, and a Juliet balcony
- Chopin deck – there are two suites at the stern which have a balcony you can sit on

Prices are based on two people sharing a cabin, depending on the departure date, and include return flights from London, transfers between the airport and ship, and 7 nights full board river cruise, commencing from dinner on the first day to breakfast on the last day. Prices are correct at the time of posting, but are subject to change.
For just £99 per person you can add a drinks package, which gives you unlimited house wines, beer, soft drinks, mineral water, juices and speciality coffees during the bar opening hours, but excludes drinks from mini bars in the cabins. The package must be taken by all people on the booking.
The ship isn’t chartered specifically for the UK market, and is likely to carry a mix of UK and Dutch passengers. The ship was previously chartered by Travelsphere and Page & Moy for many years.
