Norwegian Getaway has now negotiated her way down the river from the Meyer Werft shipyard, as you can see in this short video. She is the latest ship in the Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) fleet, and sister ship to Norwegian Breakaway.

Weighing in at 146,600 grt and carrying over 4,000 passengers, Norwegian Getaway will be the largest ship ever to be based in the port in Miami. Follow this link to see a video and more details of her sister ship Norwegian Breakaway, which entered service in 2013. There are 28 dining choices onboard, together with 22 bars and lounges. There is also a 3-storey high sports complex, which features a ropes course, mini golf and even walking the plank! The Aqua Park has 2 swimming pools and a kid’s pool, as well as 5 water slides and 6 hot tubs.
There is a great choice entertainment including Legally Blonde The Musical, The Illusionarium, and even a weekly fireworks display with environmentally-friendly fireworks. The great choice of accommodation includes Spa Suites, and Studios for solo travellers.
