Azura is a family friendly larger ship, and offers a great ranges of itineraries in 2013. As well as being based in Southampton for the summer, Azura operates a series of 14 night Caribbean fly cruises while based in Barbados for the winter. The summer itineraries range from a 2 night mini cruise to Belgium up to a 24 night Eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea cruise.
Weighing 115,000 tons, Azura carries 3,100 passengers and 1,226 crew, and is a great favourite with families. Onboard there is The Reef children’s club, with sections for different age groups, as well 4 pools and 6 whirlpool spas. There is also a sports court, Oasis Spa, gymnasium, Salon, golf nets, shops, library and casino. For entertainment there is the Playhouse Theatre, SeaScreen open air cinema, Malabar for comedy and live music, Manhattan show lounge, Planet Bar with 20m plasma video wall and a pub.
When it comes to dining there is plenty of choice, with 3 main restaruants, Peninsular, Oriental and Meridia, Sindhu, which is Atul Kochhar’s restaurant, The Glass House wine bar by Olly Smith, Seventeen which is a classic fine dining restaurant, plus Verona and Venezia the buffet restaurants and the poolside Pizzeria, grill and ice cream, plus Java which serves Costa Coffee.
