Britannia is the name chosen by P&O Cruises for their new purpose built ship, which is due to come into service in the Spring of 2015. Watch the short 3D animation video below.
At 141,000 tons, and carrying 3,600 passengers, Britannia will be the largest ship in the P&O Cruises fleet. She will also be the ‘greenest’ ship in the fleet, and her new hull form will reduce unit fuel consumption by up to 20%.
The addition of Britannia will increase the number of passengers carried by P&O Cruises ships by 24%. The best features from the current ships will be incorporated into Britannia, which will have more single cabins than any other cruise ship, many of them with balconies. Passengers can expect to see a lot of other new facilities onboard, and these will be announced as we get closer to her entering service.
